Superuniform spherical gold nanoparticles

Gold nanoparticles, with their excellent conductivity, stability, biocompatibility, and surface optical properties, have
irreplaceable roles in optics, catalysis, electronics, immunodiagnosis, biosensors, biological imaging, and drug
delivery. At present, sodium citrate reduction method is a classic method for preparing gold nanoparticles, but the
prepared gold nanoparticles have irregular shapes, and their uniformity and stability are not ideal. Therefore, the
preparation of gold nanoparticles with different particle sizes that have regular shapes, uniform particle sizes, good
dispersibility, and stable properties is an urgent problem to be solved in current production. We first used chemical
reduction method to prepare 5-15 nm small diameter super uniform spherical gold nanoparticles. Using small
diameter spherical gold nanoparticles as seeds, we used seed growth method to prepare 20-200 nm super uniform
spherical gold nanoparticles. The spherical gold nanoparticles prepared by this method have uniform particle sizes,
regular shapes, and uniform dispersion; Depending on the particle size, it presents different colors in aqueous
solution, such as orange, red, magenta, and brick red.
